Fitness Components
What is Fitness?
Physical fitness is considered a measure of the body’s ability to function efficiently, effectively and without injury in work and leisure activities, to pursue recreational activities and to cope with emergency situations.
Fitness requirements can vary between sport (eg. marathon runner & rugby front rower) and even between positions in the same sport (eg. in Soccer a goal keeper vs a striker)

- Define fitness components & discuss the relationship between fitness components and energy systems
- Give specific examples of skills/sports that require the fitness components and identify factors that affect the fitness components
Health-related fitness components are those that are more important to health than to athletic or sporting ability
