The exam on Wednesday November 2nd @ 3pm is quickly approaching and so is the time to be thinking about completing some practice exams.
I've heard it said on a number of occasions that to do 'well' on an exam, you need to complete at least 5 practice exams. This might sound like a lot to some, but if you start now, it will be of great benefit to you in the long run. Remember that after all, exams are worth 50% of your overall results!
So how do I go about completing these exams??? easy.... here is my suggestion about how to handle them.

- Ask your teacher for all the practice exams they have (they should have a large number of these stored away)
- Start off by sitting the exams in an open book, open timed environment. This allows you to revise as you are answering the question and to consolidate your knowledge without the pressure of time.
- The next set of exams should be sat in a closed book, open timed environment. This, you will find harder, but again, you don't have to worry about the stress of a time limit.
- As the exam gets closer you want to replicate the exact exam conditions. Lock yourself away in your room or at the local library, have only your pen, bottle of water and a watch to check the time and go for it. You may not get everything right, but you will gain a good understanding of how long you can spend on each question and focusing on answering the specifics of it.
